Guard Log App

Effective date: 31 December 2025

1. Summary

Guard Log App is designed for offline-first logging. By default, your entries are stored locally on your device. We aim to keep collection minimal and make sharing user-controlled.

2. What information the app stores

The app stores the information you choose to enter, which may include:

  • Alarm response details (times, locations, actions taken, notes)
  • Incident and activity reports
  • Timesheet entries (start/end times, breaks, remarks)
  • Personal notes and reminders
  • App settings (theme preferences and basic app configuration)

3. What information we collect automatically

By default, we do not collect data from your device and we do not transmit your logs to our servers because the app is designed to work offline-first.

4. Permissions

The app may request certain permissions depending on the features you use:

  • Storage / Files: to export reports (for example, saving a PDF/CSV or sharing a file)
  • Photos / Media: if you add attachments such as photos (optional feature if enabled)
  • Notifications: if you enable reminders (optional feature if enabled)

You can usually manage permissions in your device settings.

5. Exports and sharing

Any exporting or sharing is initiated by you. When you export, the file is saved to a location you choose or shared using apps you select (email, messaging, cloud drives, etc.).

Once exported, the file is handled by the service you share it with (for example, your email provider). Their privacy policy may apply.

6. Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device unless you delete it. You can remove entries inside the app (if the feature exists) or uninstall the app to remove local app data (subject to your device's backup settings).

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information stored by the app, but no method of storage is 100% secure. We recommend using a device lock (PIN/biometric) and keeping your device updated.

8. Third-party services

Guard Log App does not require an account to operate offline-first. If you choose to use third-party services (for example sharing via Google Drive, email, or messaging), those services are governed by their own policies.

9. Children's privacy

Guard Log App is not intended for children under 13 and is designed for workplace logging.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page.
